Traditional Day 2026

Besant Evening College, celebrated its Annual Traditional Day on Thursday, 21 May 2026 with great enthusiasm and cultural spirit.

The programme was held at the College Auditorium at 5:30 PM. Mrs. Lalitha G Mallya, Correspondent of the college, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, while Dr. Parashuram G Malage presided over the function. The programme was emceed by Ms. Parinitha from II B.Com. Prof. Gopalraddi Ritti, Head of the Department of Commerce, IQAC Coordinator, Dr. Prasanna Kumar MG, along with Mr. Abhishek K Bhat, Union President, and ms. Shilpa student secretary were present on the occasion.

The celebration began with an invocation and a welcome address by Ms. Disha L Shetty. Students participated enthusiastically in cultural performances, folk dances, and a traditional fashion walk, dressed in vibrant traditional attire representing various cultures of India.

In her speech, Chief Guest Mrs. Lalitha G Mallya appreciated the students for preserving cultural values and traditions. In his presidential remarks, Dr. Parashuram G Malage emphasized the importance of such programmes in the overall development of students.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Manya from II B.Com, followed by the National Anthem. The event was a grand success with active participation from students and staff.
