Besant Evening College observed Basava Jayanti on 30th April with devotion and respect by paying floral tributes to Jagajyoti Basaveshwara, the great 12th-century social reformer, philosopher, and saint.

The programme commenced with the offering of floral tributes to the portrait of Basaveshwara by the Principal, faculty members, and students. Addressing the gathering, the Principal highlighted the relevance of Basaveshwara's teachings on equality, social justice, dignity of labour, and ethical living. He urged the students to imbibe these values and contribute positively to society.

Faculty members and students reflected on the life and contributions of Basaveshwara and emphasized the importance of following his ideals in building a just and harmonious society.
