NSS Volunteers give Ladyhill Park a Cleaner Look

Thevolunteers of the National Service Scheme of Besant Evening College cleaned andbeautified the Ladyhill Park near Lalbagh on 11-9-16. The students removed theweeds and collected dry and plastic wastes from the park. In addition, theyplanted saplings along with cleaning and setting right the inter-lockedfootpaths around the park. Derebail South Corporator Rajanish, HorticultureDepartment Junior Engineer Nithyananda initiated the cleanliness drive. Theyadvised the volunteers to enhance the green belt around the town and said thevolunteers should also educate the public not to throw wastes everywhere in thecity but to dispose them at the places provided for it. N.S.S. officerBeedubail Ganapathi Bhat said that pictures will be drawn on the park compound,to spread the message among the public against drug abuse, smoking and also on‘grow green and keep clean’.
