Lantern Making Competition

On 12 November 2024, Besant Evening College hosted a vibrant lantern-making competition, drawing significant interest and enthusiasm from students. The event, held in celebration of the Thulsi Pooja, provided a platform for creativity and teamwork, as students worked collaboratively to craft unique and colourful lanterns. A total of ten teams participated, each bringing a different theme and style to their creations. Teams had a limited time to design and assemble their lanterns, using a variety of materials ranging from traditional paper and bamboo to innovative eco-friendly and recycled materials. The lanterns were evaluated by a panel of judges based on creativity, craftsmanship, innovation, and adherence to the theme. The competition was not only a celebration of art and culture but also an opportunity for students to bond, work as a team, and hones their artistic skills.
