A Guest lecture on “Secret to Success” and "Gender Equity"

The Women Cell of the college inassociation with the Department of PG Studies in Commerce has organized a guestlecture on “Secret toSuccess”and “Gender equity” was held on 23rd March,2019 in the M.Com auditorium.Dr. Araty H Shetty, Principal,Leelavathi Shetty College of Education, Vidyanagar, Kavoor, Mangalore was theresource person. The lecture was arranged to give motivation to students forachieving success by pursuing their passion.And to motivate the Female students to be on par with the male students. Dr Shetty gave a motivationalspeech to the M.Com and UG students to cultivate the habit of respecting theelders and parents. She also motivated the students to set goal and strive toreach it by 3 words “inner feel, action and momentum” face the presentchallenges and convert them into future opportunities. She also shared herpersonal experience as to how self desire helped can help in converting it intoachievement. Theresource person also explained as to how maintaining good relationship isimportant in achieving success in life**. She also spoke on mutual respect and gender equity. The resource person wasexpertise in providing lectures on various topics in and around the country.The presentation was well appreciated by the students and staff and there wasan interaction session wherein the students shared their personal experienceabout what motivated them to pursue their line of study. Theprincipal of the college, Dr Lakshminarayana Bhat welcomed the guest to thegathering.
