BesantEvening College, Mangalore on 6th and 7th April organized2016 YUGAO-2k16: Journey towards glory (an inter-collegiate UG & PG fest).Theme for YUGAO-2k16was “Make in India.” It was a two day fest comprising ofmanagement and cultural events. More than 20 colleges participated in the fest.The fest was inaugurated on 6th April 2016 at 10am by the chiefguest Sri Kudpi Jagadish Shenoy, President WNES, Nagar Narayan Shenoy,Correspondent of Besant Evening College, Dr Carmelita Goveas, Principal, BesantEvening College, Prof Gopal Reddy Ritti, Staff Co-ordinator, Prof IshwarPoojary, HOD, Department of Commerce, Dr Sathish Kumar Shetty, Prof B GanapathiBhat, Mrs Sathvika Shetty, Staff convener for the fest, Mr Yogesh Sharmastudent convener were on the dias. The fest began with the first event the ‘Icebraker’ followed with various other events. The fest concluded with the final event‘the best manager’.The valedictory was conducted on 7th April at 5pmthe chief guest of the function was Sri Manel Anappa Nayak, Vice Precident,WNES, Sri Shyamsunder Kamath, Secretary, WNES, Sri Nagar Narayan Shenoy,Correspondent of Besant Evening College, Sri Devananda Pai, Correspondent ofBesant Women’s College, Dr Sathish Kumar Shetty, Prof B Ganapathi Bhat, werethe other dignitaries on the Dias. Besant womens college were runner upchampions and Maps college begged the overall championship in fest.
