"Workshop on Revised II Semester B.Com curriculum"

A workshop on the revised Commerce Syllabus of the second semester was organized jointly by the Mangalore University Commerce Teachers Association (R) and Besant Evening College.

The workshop was successfully held on 22nd February 2025 at the auditorium of Besant Evening College. The workshop aims to provide insights into the revised curriculum and enhance the understanding of faculty and students on skill-based learning. Mr. Gopala Reddy Ritti said in his introductory speech. Mrs. Lalitha Mallya, the Correspondent of Besant Evening College, who was the Chief Guest, inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp and highlighting the importance of skill development in higher education and the career development of the students. She expressed its relevance in shaping the future of the business world. She wished the students well, saying that commerce teachers play a crucial role in building the foundation of business knowledge. Prof. Rajashekar Hebbar, Administrative officer of Besant Institutions He said that young minds need the guidance and help of faculty to understand financial management, business, marketing and economic principles in the commercial sector.

The college Principal, Dr. Parashuram G. Malage, who presided over the program, wished the discussions in the workshop to prepare the students for the business-related changes taking place in today's competitive world.

After the inaugural ceremony, the resource persons conducted discussions on various topics related to B.Com Syllabus. The chief guest of the valedictory function, Dr. Praveen Kumar K.C said that such workshops are needed to shape the future of the students.

Dr. Ravi M.N., President of Mangalore University Commerce Faculty Association (Mukta) (R), welcomed the gathering. Dr. Udaya Shetty K, General Secretary, and Prof. Gopala Reddy Ritti, Program Coordinator, were present.

Students of Besant Evening College offered prayer, IQAC Coordinator Dr. Prasanna Kumar M.G welcomed the gathering and Mr. Mohammed Mustafa offered the vote of thanks and Smt. Sushma compered the program.
