Vigilance Awareness Week 2019

The Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) the apex integrityinstitution of the country observes “ VigilanceAwareness Week ” every year. This year the CVC has decided to observe the VigilanceAwareness Week from 28th October to 2nd November, 2019 with thetheme “ Integrity-A way of Life .” Asper the direction of the Department of Collegiate Education, Govt of Karnataka,the College has conducted a programme in connection with Vigilance AwarenessWeek on 2nd November, 2019. Mrs Thara Shetty, Faculty, Department ofPG Studies in Commerce, initiated the programme by welcoming the guests and gatheringand gave introductory remarks about the “Central Vigilance Commission” andexplained about the relevance of conducting the Vigilance Awareness Week programme.Dr Laxminarayan Bhat A, Principal, Besant Evening College, addressed thegathering and said that receiving bribe is the offense which is leading be acorrupt society, corruption is a social evil and it is the responsibility ofevery individual to fight against it. Mrs Sathvika Shetty, the faculty of PGdepartment of Commerce, read out the pledge and requested the students andstaff to join in the movement and spread the message to the public to stop thecorruption. Dr Vijay Kumar and Mr Shreenidhi, faculty members, PG department ofcommerce, and students were present in the program.
