Besant Evening College,Mangalore and National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal inAssociation with Karnataka State Pollution Control Board have organized a twoday National level seminar on the theme ‘Inclusive. The seminar was inaugurated on22nd April, 2016 at 10.00AM by Sri. A B Ibrahim, Deputy Commissioner, DKDistrict and Sri J R Lobo, MLA, Mangaluru (South). The programme began with aninvocation by Mr.Rajshekar Puranik from Karnataka State Pollution ControlBoard. Prof G Srinikethan, Dept. ofChemical Engineering, NITK, Surathkal the chairman of the seminar advisorycommittee welcomed the guests and introduced the guests of honour. elevance of the theme of the seminar in the current scenario. M DSaidatta, the director of NITK, Surathkal presided over the function. Sri Shyam Sunder Kamath, thesecretary of Women’s National Education Society was the guest of honour. He appreciatedthe organizers for selecting an apt theme for the seminar. Prof. Saidatta, thepresident of the function said that Dakshina Kannada has changed over theperiod due to industrialization and we should come out with definite ideas forthe progress of the district and he hoped that this seminar will yield someideas in this direction. The inaugural session ended with a vote of thanks byProf. Rajmohan, Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering, NITK,Surathkal.
