POOKALAM COMPETITION

On the occasion of Onam celebration an inter class Pookkalamcompetition was organized by Alumni Association and Women Cell for both UG andPG students on 13th September, 2019. The program began with an invocation by MsDeepa, I M.Com student, after which one hour time was allotted for theparticipants to put Pookkalam with flower petals and leaves. Total 9 teams hadparticipated where some of the participants came with traditional attire. The competition was judged by MrsAnnapoorna, Mr Murali, Mr Sanjeeva and Mr Rajaram Bhat. Dr Laxminarayan Bhat,Principal, Prof. Ganapathi Bhat M, Department of Hindi, Prof. Ganapathi Bhat B,Department of English, Besant Evening college came and appreciated theparticipants. There was a formal prize distribution ceremony was conductedafter the competition. Dr Laxminarayan Bhat, Principal, Prof. Ganapathi Bhat M,staff advisor for Alumni Association, Mrs Thara Shetty, Women Cell In-charge,Mr Adithya Shetty, President of Alumni Association, Mr Deviprasad, Alumnimember were present on the dias.
