NSS Volunteers Celebrate Gandhi Jayanthi at Oldage Home

The National Service Schemevolunteers of Besant Evening College observed Gandhi Jayanthi by visiting‘VatsalyaDhama’, an oldage home at Kodialbail. A team of NSS students led bythe Principal Dr. Lakshminarayana Bhat and NSS Programme Officer Prof.Beedubail Ganapathi Bhat, spent a few hours with the inmates of the oldage homeand interacted with them. Later, the volunteers distributed varieties of fruitsand eatables to them with love and respect and sought their blessings. Speakingon the occasion the NSS officer advised the volunteers to take care of theirparents with abundant love, care and respect sothat they would never sufferduring their old age. Principal, Dr. Lakshminarayana Bhat, lauded the studentsand wished them to continue such Social works in future. The President ofVatsalyadhama Mr. Shreenath Hegde welcomed and appreciated the exemplaryservice rendered by the volunteers and motivated them.
