NSS One day Beach Cleaning Camp

One day NSScamp was held at Panambur beach on Sunday, 27/2/2022 to clean the beach. A teamof 45 NSS volunteers led and guided by the NSS programme Officer ProfGopalraddi Ritti took the initiative. While cleaning the beach the volunteers weredivided into smaller groups. They collected 15 bags of trash littered on thebeach weighing approximately 3 to 4 quintals. It was disturbing sight to seeplenty of plastic bottles, glasses, wood, straws, paper plates, toys, flip flopslippers, clothes etc littered on the beach.

Objectivesof the Activit y: The major objectives of the initiative are to create awarenessabout cleanliness, preservation of the environmental hygiene and prevention ofuse of plastic and protection of marine life.

Outcome :After collection of the garbage, the beach was absolutely clean. Thanks to thehard work and effort of the volunteers.
