Industrial visit to “Subraya Kamath Cashew Factory, Puttur; CPCRI, Vitla; and Eco Bliss, Vitla”

The Department of PG Studies inCommerce organized an industrial visit to “ Subraya KamathCashew Factory, Puttur; CPCRI, Vitla; and Eco Bliss, Vitla” on 4th October 2017. Thirty M.Com students along with three faculty membersparticipated. The team first visited Subraya Kamath Cashew Factory, Puttur andwent through the various processes starting from peeling of cashew to package exportable cashew nuts. Then the team continued its visit to CPCRI, Vitla Oneof the authorities of CPCRI explained about the various plantation crops,difficulties faced in growing such plants and also showed varieties ofplantation crops available in CPCRI. Finally the group visited Eco Bliss, Vitlawhere varieties of plates made out of areca tree leaves. Smt and Shri Rajaram,Proprietors of Eco Bliss showed and explained about the various processescarried on in making these plates. They also provided a cordial hospitality forthe team.
