Sappling Drive Organized by the Eco and Energy Club

The Eco and Energy Club of Besant Evening College organized a tree-planting camp on 14th May 2025 at Kadri Park, Mangalore. The objective of the camp was to promote environmental awareness and encourage sustainable practices among students.

The program was inaugurated by Mr. Ramesh from the Horticulture Department, who highlighted the importance of afforestation and inspired the attendees to contribute to environmental preservation. The event was convened by Ms. Amita Kumari, Convener of the Eco and Energy Club.

The camp witnessed active participation from the Head of the Department, Mr. Gopalraddy Ritti , IQAC Coordinator Dr. Prasanna Kumar M.G., faculty members, and 16 enthusiastic students. Together, they planted several saplings and pledged to nurture them for a greener future.The event was a success, fostering a spirit of environmental responsibility among the participants and making a meaningful contribution to the local ecosystem.
