Sangam-2018: AConglomeration of Talents is an inter-collegiate variety competition conductedin commemoration of Centenary celebration of Besant Institutions. BesantWomen’s College and Besant Evening College Alumni Associations have jointlyorganised the programme to commemorate the Centenary celebrations of BesantKannada Primary School on 17th March 2018. The president of AlumniAssociation of Besant Women’s College, Mrs Swaroopa Shetty welcomed the guestsand august gathering. Mrs Raviprabha, the adviser of Besant Women’s CollegeAlumni Association explained about the Sangam- 2018 and justified the need ofconducting the inter-collegiate competition. The inauguration of Sangam-2018 wasunveiled by lighting the lamp by the honorable chief Guest Dr Bharath Shetty,the principal of A J Institute of Dental Sciences and other dignitaries. In hisinaugural speech, Dr Bharath Shetty highlighted the need and importanceconducting the inter-collegiate competitions like Sangam- 2018. Soonafter the inaugural programme, the Besant Women’s College students have giventheir performances to entertain the gathering. The valedictory programme was heldin the evening at 4:30 PM. The Asst. secretary of Women’s National EducationalSociety, Sri Devananda Pai presided over the function. The correspondent ofBesant English Medium Primary School, Sri Sathish Bhat was the chief guest.
