INVESTITURE CEREMONY 2025-2026

The Inauguration of the Student Council of Besant Evening College, Mangalore, was held on Saturday, 30th August 2025, at 6:00 p.m. in the M.Com Auditorium.The program commenced with a prayer, followed by a warm welcome to the dignitaries, staff, and students.

The function was graced by the presence of distinguished guests. The Chief Guest, Dr. Mukunda Prabhu, Associate Professor, Department of Hindi, St. Aloysius (Deemed to be University), Mangalore, addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of the Student Union Council in shaping leadership qualities, responsibility, and teamwork among students.

The Guest of Honour, Prof. Rajashekar Hebbar, Administrative Officer, Besant Group of Institutions, spoke on the significance of unity, discipline, and strength in a student council for the holistic growth of the institution.

Another Guest of Honour, Sri. Ganesha Bhaktha, Former President of PTA-BEC, was felicitated on the occasion. In his address, he motivated the students to actively participate in council activities and uphold the values of the institution.

Prof. Gopal Raddi Ritti, Council Advisor, was present on the dais and extended his guidance to the council members. The Principal, Dr. Parashuram G. Malage, delivered an inspiring speech, congratulating the newly elected Student Council and wishing them success in their endeavors.

Ms. Sarita Reena D’Souza Assistant Professor Department of Commerce introduced the newly formed Student Union Council and various associations to the audience.

As part of the ceremony, the newly elected student representatives took the oath of responsibility to work with dedication for the welfare of the college and fellow students.

The event concluded with the National Anthem.
