Winners of Intercollegiate Street Play Competition on “Swachhata – Environment and Youth” at Govinda Dasa College

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Fine Arts Association, and Students’ Senate of Govinda Dasa College, Surathkal, in association with Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL), organized an Intercollegiate Street Play Competition on the theme “Swachhata – Environment and Youth” on 30th September 2025.

The event aimed to raise awareness among students about the importance of cleanliness, environmental conservation, and the active role of youth in building a sustainable future. Several colleges from across the region enthusiastically participated in this meaningful competition, showcasing their creativity and concern for social and environmental issues.

Our college team delivered an impactful performance that effectively conveyed the message of cleanliness and environmental responsibility through powerful dialogues and expressions. Their energetic presentation and teamwork impressed the judges and the audience alike.

We are proud to announce that our students secured the First Place in the competition. They were awarded a trophy and a cash prize of ₹10,000 in recognition of their outstanding performance.

The participants were Pranitha, Manvitha, Abhiram, Abhishek.K.Bhat, Bhavith, Tanwish Gatty, Thanya.V, Megha P Shetty, Vaishnavi Shetty, Ananya R N. The management, principal, and staff members congratulated the team for bringing laurels to the college and appreciated their dedication and creative effort in spreading awareness about Swachhata and environmental consciousness.
