INAUGURATION OFTHE COMPUTER LAB

On 19 February 2026 at 2:30 p.m., under the CSR initiative of Karnataka Bank, 20 computers were generously donated to Besant Evening College, enhancing the college’s computer lab facilities.

On this occasion, the Chief Manager of Karnataka Bank, Mr. Lakshminarayana P. S., was warmly felicitated. After lighting the ceremonial lamp, he addressed the gathering and highlighted the significance of skill-based education in today’s digital era. He encouraged students to make the best use of technology for their academic and career advancement.

In her introductory address, Mrs. Lalitha G. Mallya, Correspondent of the college, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Karnataka Bank for their generous support towards the students’ academic growth.

The President of WNES, Sri. Manel Annappa Nayak, conveyed sincere thanks and expressed hope for continued cooperation and support from Karnataka Bank in the years to come.

The programme was graced by Dr. Manjula K. T., Vice-President of WNES; Sri Satish Bhat, Correspondent of Besant National PU College; Dr. Parashurama G. Malage, Principal; faculty members; and students.

The event was compered by Mrs. Srividya, Assistant Professor of Commerce. Mrs. Amita Kumari B, Assistant Professor of Commerce delivered the welcome address, and Mrs. Sushma, Assistant Professor of English, proposed the vote of thanks.
