Inauguration of Commerce Association

The Commerce Association of Besant Evening College, Mangaluru, was formally inaugurated in a grand ceremony held in the college I year BCom class room no. G3 on 8th October 2025. The programme was organized by the Department of Commerce with the aim of fostering academic enthusiasm, leadership qualities, and co-curricular engagement among commerce students.

The event began with a prayer song invoking divine blessings, followed by a warm welcome address by Mr. G. Harish Pai, Faculty Convener of the Commerce Association and briefed the gathering about the objectives and planned activities of the association.

The programme was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Mrs. Preetha K, Assistant Professor, & Hod department of Economics Besent National Pu College Mangalore, who addressed the gathering with an inspiring talk. She encouraged the students to cultivate analytical thinking, teamwork, and ethical business values. She also spoke about the relevance of commerce education in today’s dynamic global economy and motivated the students to actively engage in association activities.

Ms. Ananya Rao, a final-year B.Com student and Student Convener of the Commerce Association, shared the planned calendar of events for the academic year, which includes guest lectures, workshops, competitions, and community-oriented activities.

The programme concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Ms. Ananya Rao, a final-year B.Com student expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, faculty members, and students for their participation and support. The event served as a platform for interaction, inspiration, and the beginning of yet another productive year for the Commerce Association.
