A guest talk on “Mastering Offers, Requests, and Congratulations” was organized by the Literary Association of Besant Evening College on 22nd May 2025. The resource person for the session was Ms. Jincy Thomas, Assistant Professor in English, Besant Women’s College. The event aimed to enhance students' proficiency in using polite expressions and speech acts effectively in both academic and social contexts.

The program was emceed by Ms. Praneetha R, a student of II B.Com, who carried out the proceedings with confidence and clarity. Ms. Sushma, the organizer of the program, coordinated the event seamlessly, ensuring active participation and smooth execution.

Ms. Jincy Thomas delivered an insightful and interactive talk, guiding students on the effective use of language when making offers, requests, and giving congratulations. Through real-life examples, role-plays, and interactive exercises, she engaged the audience and made the session both informative and enjoyable.
