Freshers’ Day Celebration

The Freshers’ Day for the first-year B.Com students of Besant Evening College was celebrated on the pleasant evening of 23rd August at the College Auditorium. The event was organized by the senior students to extend a warm welcome to the newcomers.

The program began with the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolizing knowledge and wisdom. The Principal addressed the gathering with a motivational speech, encouraging the freshers to focus on academics, actively participate in extracurricular activities, and make the best use of the opportunities offered by the institution. The Correspondent, Ms. Lalitha Mallya, conveyed her best wishes to the students. HoD of Commerce, Prof. Gopalaraddy Ritti, IQAC Coordinator, Dr. Prasanna Kumar M.G, and Mr. Mohammed Mustaf, Coordinator of the Professional Batch, also addressed the students with their words of encouragement and guidance.

Following the formal session, the students enjoyed a variety of cultural performances and fun activities conducted by the seniors. These interactive sessions created a joyful and friendly atmosphere, helping the juniors to showcase their talents and bond with one another.

The program concluded on a cheerful note, leaving the freshers with cherished memories of their first day in college and motivating them to strive for excellence in both academic and extracurricular pursuits.
