Beach Cleaning Drive at Chitrapur Beach by Extension and Outreach Cell

On 18th May 2025, around 30 students from Besant Evening College participated in a beach cleaning event held at Chitrapur Beach. The program aimed to promote environmental awareness and encourage active participation in preserving coastal cleanliness.

The event saw the presence of key college representatives, including Mrs. Srividya B, Convenor of the Association; Mr. Gopalraddy Ritti, Head of the Department of Commerce; Dr. Prasanna Kumar M.G., IQAC Coordinator; along with other faculty members. Their support and guidance played a vital role in motivating the students.

During the activity, students collected trash and debris from the beach, contributing to a cleaner and healthier shoreline. Their collective effort reflected a strong commitment toward environmental conservation and civic responsibility.

After the clean-up, refreshments were provided to all student participants, making the event both productive and engaging. Such initiatives help in building environmental consciousness among youth and instilling a sense of community service.
