Anti-Ragging Awareness Competitions

The Anti-Ragging Cell of Besant Evening College organized a series of engaging competitions aimed at fostering creativity, entrepreneurship, and awareness among students while promoting a ragging-free and inclusive campus environment.

As part of this initiative, a “Shark Tank” competition was conducted to encourage innovative thinking and entrepreneurial skills among the students. The event was well-coordinated by Dr. Prasanna Kumar M. G. (IQAC Coordinator), Prof. Mustafa (Coordinator of the Professional Batch), and Prof. Saritha Reena D’Souza (Convener of the Anti-Drug Cell), with active support from Mr. G. Harish Pai, faculty member of the Commerce Department.

The competition was graced by the esteemed guest and judge, Mr. Subraya Kamath, who evaluated the participants’ ideas with keen insight and provided valuable feedback to inspire creative and practical business thinking.

In addition, a Pick and Speak competition was organized under the banner of the Anti-Ragging Cell on Thursday, October 16, 2025. Around 12 participants enthusiastically shared their thoughts and suggestions on eradicating ragging and promoting a safe and supportive learning atmosphere. The session was judged by Dr. Prasanna Kumar M. G. and Prof. Saritha Reena D’Souza, conveners of the Anti-Ragging Cell.

Both events successfully fulfilled their objective of raising awareness about the importance of maintaining a ragging-free campus while providing students a platform to express creativity, confidence, and responsibility as members of the college community.
