Department of Commerce organized a Webinaron “Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) on 26th June between11.00AMto 12.00 Noon in the Google meet platform. The resource person of the webinar was Mr. Mohammad Mustaf.He spoke about the basic concepts of Intellectual Property Rights and also explainedvarious aspects of Intellectual Properties like what is Trademark, GeographicalIndication, Patent, Patent Rights and Copyright. “Intellectual property” istype of property that results from creation of the human mind and theintelligence. He discussed about trademark and narrated various issues of itand later on focused on key features, Trademark law in India, who can apply fortrademark, location and jurisdiction of trademarks office, renewal ofregistration and offence and penalties.
