Industrial Visit by PG Department

TheDepartment of PG Studies in Commerce organized an industrial visit to Eco Bliss,Balipaguli, Vittla, SG Corporates and Campco Chocolate Factory, Puttur. Twentyfour students and two faculty members participated in the same. Shri Rajaram Bhat, Proprietor, Eco Bliss, manufacturers and exportersof Areca leaf bio products, gave information about making of variety of platesout of areca plant leaves. He showed the manufacturing processes that arecarried by the factory. There was an interactive session between Mr RajaramBhat and the students and several doubts of the students’ regarding the processof work was clarified by him. Healso showed entire factory where different processes were carried on. The teamhad snacks provided by the proprietor. He also motivated the students towards entrepreneurship. Nextvisit was to SG Corporates, popularly known for Bindu mineral water and softdrinks. The team was hearty welcomed by Mr Sathya Shankar, Managing Director andMrs. Ranjitha Shankar, Executive Director. Then the entire production processesof Bindu mineral water and various soft drinks were shown and explained by MrSuresh, plant supervisor. Thenthe team visited another plant of SG Corporates, Megha Food Processing PrivateLtd, a FMCG production unit. Production process of potato chips and other foodproducts was closely watched by the team. Finallythe team went to Campco Chocolate Factory, Puttur. Initially, a power point presentation on the history of Campcoand manufacturing processes of various chocolate products were shown to theteam. Then students were taken into the manufacturing area and were explainedin detail about how the various chocolates are manufactured. Also, a gift packof chocolates were distributed to everyone at the end.
