Department of PG Studies in Commerce organised a Guest Lecture on the topic “Academic
Research paper- Do’s and Don’ts. Dr Yathish
Kumar, Associate
professor & Co-ordinator, PG Dept of Commerce, University College,
Mangalore was the resource person. The program began with a
welcome by Dr Lakshminarayana Bhat, Principal, Besant Evening College. Mrs
Thara Shetty, Faculty of PG department of commerce introduced the resource
person to the audience and then handed over the session to the Resource person. Dr Yathish Kumar started
his talk by giving brief information about what is research, and then explained
about the various terminologies needed in research. He also explained about
management of time during the preparation a research paper. The talk was an
interactive one where the students readily contributed in the discussion.
