sponsored Two day National Seminar is jointly organised by BEC and BWC on 23rd
and 24th August 2016 at Besant College Auditorium on “Konkani
Speaking people of Coastal Karnataka and their Anglo-Portuguese. The seminar
was inaugurated by Sri. J.R Lobo MLA Mangalore South and the guest of Honour was
Sri. Basti Vaman Shenoy. President of
WNES Sri. Kudpi Jagadish Shenoy presided over. Sri. Roy Castelin Chairman
Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academi was present on the occasion. 75 delegates,
200 students and 18 resource persons participated in the seminar. Valedictory of the Seminar was on 24th
August 2016 at 5.30 pm. Prof. Valerian Rodrigues was Chief- Guest of Honour
Sri. Pradeep Pai and President of the Programme. Sri. Shyam Sundar Kamath,
Secretary WNES.
