The theme for ANVESHAN –
Inter-collegiate PG Students Research Conclave is “Emerging Trends in Commerce
and Management”. There are about 20 sub-themes selected for the deliberations
which are indicative but not limited in nature. These sub-themes are broadly
related to Digital India initiatives, E-commerce, Banking, Finance, Insurance,
operations management R & D factors in Marketing, GST, work life balance,
stress management, knowledge management, business ethics and corporate social
responsibility etc. The organizers we have received 50 papers from the
students. The total registered delegates are 122 students from 36 colleges/
universities departments. The Principal of the College, Dr Lakshminarayan Bhat
introduced the guests and welcomed the guests and august gathering. Dr. Vasappa
Gowda, the director of the seminar explored the conceptual overview of the
seminar and justified the need for organizing the PG students’ seminar in the
present day demand for research requirements. The chief guest of the programme,
Prof. P.S Yadapadithaya spoke on the occasion and said that ANVESHAN is in
search of excellence which is especially designed and dedicated to PG students
and explained the five key elements such as Participation, Presentation, Expert
Guidance, Motivation and Publication. He also explained the five capsules such
as Attitude, Skill mix, Habits, Values and Knowledge. He spoke about three E’s;
Education, Employability, Employment and three D’s; Debate, Dialogue and
Discussion and 7 C’s. Courage, Confidence, Conviction, Commitment,
Communication, Convince and Conscious. Sri Kudpi Jagadeesh Shenoy, the
president of Women’s National Education Society, Mangalore presided over the
function and appreciated the organizers of the seminar for selecting the theme
which is very apt in the context of quality research output. During the
occasion, our student, Ms Deeksha Rao, the 7th rank holder in M.Com
for the Academic Year 2016-17 was felicitated.
